General Description

Overview

For over 50 years, NVFMA has provided superior repeaters that serve the Northern Virginia and surrounding areas. From our beginnings in 1971 to the peak of autopatch use in the 90's to the systems we host today, our repeaters and data services capabilities are open and available to all amateurs and support emergencies and special events in times of need.

Operational Locations

The NVFMA has two primary operational sites:

• Tysons Corner, Fairfax County, Virginia


• Fairfax County Public Safety Headquaters, Fairfax County, Virginia

Depending on the site, we cover from Dulles Airport in the northwest to Springfield and Alexandria in the southeast, west to Centreville and Manassas and east through Tysons Corner and into southern Montgomery County, MD and northern Arlington County, VA.

To provide insight into the description and status of each of NVFMA's capabilities, dashboard displays are shown below for frequency modulated repeaters, digital repeaters, and data services. The dashboards provide a quick way to check the identifying transmit frequency, location, and status of each capability. In addition, there is a brief status statement and a button to link to more details about each capability.
